A surprising decision of Grinding Gear Games, which in the January supplement to Path of Exile permanently removes Prophecy. So the prophecy / prophecy system, which existed in the game continuously since 2016.
Reason?
Prophecy has been introduced in 2016 and since then is part of the main content of Path of Exile. However, over time has become obsolete and overtaken by other newer content. In our January enlargement, we remove the prophecy from our game. This means that you have a limited time to use your silver coins and saved prophecy.
How did Prophecy work? Very straight.
At the beginning of the game, we unlocked the Special NPC, and then we dropped from monsters Silver Coins, which we turned to the title prophecies / prophecies (usually consisting in killing a monster or group of monsters on a specific map to receive x object).
At one moment, we could have 7 different prophecies, although there was the opportunity to seal prophecy — it cost an additional silver coins — and use it at a later time.
Unfortunately, apart from several exceptions (e.g. Fated Connections — the prophecy that connected the 6-socket item) all the rest of the prophecy was totally unprofitable. That's why Poe veterans should not feel this loss.
